Our favorite Snapfluence photographers participate in the 10th Worldwide InstaMeet
Instawhat? InstaMeet. It's when millions of influencers across the globe meet up with photographers in their local community to take pictures, and post them to Instagram… it’s that simple.
The 10th Worldwide InstaMeet took place this past weekend and over 29,000 #WWIM10 photos were shared, reaching more than 184 million users worldwide. Many of our popular Snapfluence photographers took part in the action and shared their special moments, some of them even organizing their respective cities' meet-ups themselves. Check them out!

Proven by our Snapfluencers, InstaMeets are a fun and creative way to share your passion for photography with people you would have never, otherwise, had the opportunity to meet. It’s a chance to explore your city AND explore your art. And the best part is, there really are no rules.
Use an InstaMeet as an excuse for a weekend getaway-- plan a trip, meet new friends, and take incredible photos. What could be better #InstaInspiration than that?
Don't worry if you missed last weekend's event, you can find InstaMeets happening in your city and say "count me in!" If there aren’t any events in your area, you can organize your own.
What have we learned?
A social influencer who we admire, Gareth Pon (@garethpon), started organizing InstaMeets in Johannesburg, South Africa in 2012 and shared on Instagram's blog some tips for making an InstaMeet not only fun, but well-promoted.
Location is key- Find an accessible place that, perhaps, not too many people have already explored. Pick an exact meeting spot for your Instagrammers to gather.
Time of day matters- Choose to meet at a time when the sun will enhance your pictures, not destroy them.
People need to know it’s happening- Promote the InstaMeet to your followers with an image containing info regarding the meet, otherwise you’ll be snapping photos on your own.
Photos want to be seen- Create a unique hashtag to represent your specific InstaMeet so Instagrammers can easily share their photos and connect with all of the new friends they meet that day.
